The Lambda Chapter of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society has been established at UNL since 2003 and recognizes, promotes, and fosters the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.

To be invited to join Tau Sigma, candidates must have transferred in at least one year of credit, completed 12 credit hours at UNL, and earned either a 3.5 GPA or placement in the top 20% of incoming transfer students.
Spring 2026 invitations will be sent via email on Monday, March 9.

The initiation ceremony for the Spring 2026 cohort will take place in mid-April. The date and time will be announced no later than March 31.
