Why I Mentor Statement
I mentor because I love connecting with and learning from those around me. I mentor because I believe in people believing in people-- and in people believing in themselves, too! My goal is to do good in the world and to depart from those I work with at the end of the day, knowing they're going home feeling that good. I work as both an educator and a mentor to accomplish 3 things: to make those around me feel seen, feel empowered, and to put a smile on their faces. At the end of the day, if someone feels just a little more confident, more capable, or even just a bit more joyful because of our time together, that's what makes it all worth it.
