Of all the jobs you could have on campus, what made you want to be a Peer Mentor?

I liked what the peer mentors were doing on a student-based level. As a future RA, it is my goal to make sure that people have the 1st year experience, and I want to help people get the move from high school to college

If you could learn any skill or craft instantly, what would it be?

I would learn how to sew. I really want to be one of those girls on TikTok who can turn thrift finds into adorable clothes.

What's one thing on your bucket list you know you'll cross off some day?

I want to crash a wedding. It's not like a scene, but be there for the vibes.

What's your favorite way to de-stress or relax during busy times?

I like to tan and also get my nails down.

If your life had a soundtrack, what is your theme song?

"Never Lose Me ft SZA & Cardi B" by Flo Milli

You just won an all-expenses paid vacation. Where would you go?

Bahamas! I love tropical weather

What's your favorite place on campus‚ and why?

My room. It's my little safe space

What's your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

Fried Ice Cream

What's one thing you wish you had known before starting college?

You need to feel okay with being awkward. It's okay not to know anyone when you go to events. Put yourself out there!

Why I Mentor Statement

I mentor because I believe in a community where people feel they belong. I want to be the kind of mentor I needed when I got to college, so that students can feel confident. My experiences with other leadership programs have taught me that putting yourself out there is the first step, and I want to use that to support students as they navigate taking chances and being okay with being awkward.
