Of all the jobs you could have on campus, what made you want to be a Peer Mentor?

I wanted to impact first generation huskers in a positive way! The way my peer mentors did for me!

If you could learn any skill or craft instantly, what would it be?

I would learn how to cross stitch or sew garments like big fancy ballgowns.

What's one thing on your bucket list you know you'll cross off some day?

Traveling abroad to Finland!

What's your favorite way to de-stress or relax during busy times?

I love to sit down and read a book, or to listen to music and contemplate!

You just won an all-expenses paid vacation. Where would you go?

I would 100% go to Ireland with my family!

What's your favorite place on campus‚ and why?

Besides the CAST office, I definitely would have to say the East Campus Union. It is always quiet, and everyone is super nice!

What's your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

My go to comfort food is chocolate chip cookies!

What's one thing you wish you had known before starting college?

It is okay to fail that test, assignment, or group project. It is what you do afterwards that counts.

Why I Mentor Statement

I mentor because I believe that everyone should have an opportunity to become the best version of themselves. I want to be the kind of mentor who encourages my mentees, so that students can achieve their goals. My experiences with the CAST program have taught me the importance of self acceptance, accountability, and assurance in my self confidence. I hope to use that to support students as they navigate the challenges of college!
