Of all the jobs you could have on campus, what made you want to be a CAST Peer Mentor?

College can be a scary transition for students, but my transition was eased through the CAST 4-day experience when I was an incoming freshman. I love providing students with the recourses or help they may need while coming into campus, and I love being someone they can trust to help them find their way.

If you could learn any skill or craft instantly, what would it be?

I would like to learn every language (even the dead ones) so I could read old historical manuscripts and communicate with people that I would have been previously unable to communicate with.

What’s one thing on your bucket list you know you’ll cross off some day?

Probably find proof of some weird cryptid.

What's your favorite way to de-stress or relax during busy times?

If your life had a soundtrack, what is your theme song?

Anything by 5th Dimension

You just won an all-expenses paid vacation. Where would you go?

Obviously everywhere

What’s your favorite place on campus—and why?

The super comfy benches right next to the bell tower! If the weather is nice there is a huge chance you will find me just relaxing on those benches and listening to the campus ambiance.

What's your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

sushi probably

What's one thing you wish you had known before starting college?

College isn't a linear journey! You will experience changes, setbacks, and everything else unexpected- but it is all part of the journey. I PROMISE that not one student has come into college, and everything has gone exactly according to plan. It's best to just go with the flow and experience as much as you can in the short time period that is the college experience.

Why I Mentor Statement

I mentor because I believe in unconditional love and support. I want to be the kind of mentor who knows their students, so they can thrive and become the best version of themselves.
