The Lambda Chapter of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society has been established at UNL since 2003 and recognizes, promotes, and fosters the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.

To be invited to join Tau Sigma, candidates must have transferred in at least one year of credit, completed 12 credit hours at UNL, and earned either a 3.5 GPA or placement in the top 20% of incoming transfer students.
Once each semester, Huskers are initiated into Tau Sigma National Honor Society. The Lambda chapter looks forward to building a legacy of support and celebration for transfer students at UNL.
