Of all the jobs you could have on campus, what made you want to be a CAST Peer Mentor?

My peer mentor, Cheyenne. She was so so so great to have as a mentor and pushed me to apply after seeing my passion for education (and because I'm so super cool)

If you could learn any skill or craft instantly, what would it be?

Boxing. I currently box for fun but if I could instantly become a master? I would. It's such a cool martial art and I'd love to be able to compete at a high level

What’s one thing on your bucket list you know you’ll cross off some day?

Win teacher of the year. I have a massive passion for education and I'm determined to put that stupid apple trophy on my desk some day. I want the world to see that education is still alive and thriving through teachers like me

What's your favorite way to de-stress or relax during busy times?

Boxing. Therapy is expensive, the heavy bag at the rec center is free 1-7pm

If your life had a soundtrack, what is your theme song?

"Que Cera, Cera"

You just won an all-expenses paid vacation. Where would you go?

I'd want to visit old Persian buildings. I love the architecture in that part of the world and would KILL to see it in person

What’s your favorite place on campus—and why? 

The Jacki Gaughan Multicultural Center. Mondays 6-8pm, African Peoples Union meetings are my home away from home. Getting to see people like me all in one place is so refreshing

What's your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

1am McDonalds is food for the soul (I'm actively killing my internal organs)

What's one thing you wish you had known before starting college?

You have to not be in your dorm if you want to make friends :O

No but seriously, if you're spending most of the day in your dorm, you will start getting depressed, you won't make friends, and if you do make friends, you won't keep them. Go out, make friends, value them, go to class
