Academic Recovery Jumpstart

The Academic Recovery Process is designed to support Nebraska students whose cumulative or semester GPA has fallen below the minimum requirement of 2.0 and, therefore, are not meeting University Academic Standards.

What is Jumpstart?

Jumpstart is the first step of the Academic Recovery Process, designed to help you assess academic performance, connect with campus resources and achieve success.

To complete Jumpstart, you must do two things. First, read and fully understand all information in this document. Second, complete the Probation Self-Assessment e-form (found as a To Do List item in your MyRed account).

The Probation Self-Assessment prompts students to think about barriers to academic success and identify action steps to overcome those barriers. You will have the opportunity to discuss your Self-Assessment responses with an FYE Academic Success Coach by checking a box on the e-form.

To complete Jumpstart:

  • Read and fully understand the information on the handouts below
  • Log into MyRed and complete the Probation Self-Assessment e-form (found in your MyRed To Do List)
  • Connect with campus resources (Find out more: Navigating Campus resources)
